Moving and Transplanting Trees: Ideas and Facing Challenges

Moving is hard on everyone – trust me, I know. I've moved two dozen times if not more. However, as a lover of nature, I also know moving can be hard on trees. My name is Margaret, and I love saplings. I have nursed many seeds into saplings and given them to friends, but I've seen some of these gifts whither and die. I don't want anyone to feel the profound sadness of losing a tree. When you plant a new tree, you dream of it growing, shading your family as you picnic, holding your tree houses and giving homes to squirrels and birds. When a tree dies, you lose those dreams. To help avoid that, I wanted to create a blog about moving trees and other tree advice.
